The Rugby Magic Story

The Evolution of Rugby Magic - from our founder Kim The journey that would eventually shape what I now consider my life’s work began when I was a young lad. At 5 stone seven pounds (77 lbs.), I started playing rugby, and over time, I moved up to six stone seven pounds (91 lbs.). Those early years of rugby were filled with physical challenges. The path to belonging to my peer groups was often painful, marked by bumps, bruises, broken bones, and tears. Back then, the remedies for injuries and muscular stress were relatively simple: a hot bath, and the occasional suture. As I continued playing high school and club rugby, the cycle of aching muscles and painful injuries became a regular part of my life. Decades passed, and I eventually reached 250 lbs. My coaches often described me as “vigorous, reckless, undisciplined, and charging headlong at the enemy.” This relentless approach to the game continued throughout my sports career. By my forties, I had started to realize that the simple remedies I had used to address my rugby injuries and other sports – and those of my teammates and competitors – were no longer enough. We deserved better than just hot water and menthol liniment. I set out to develop something truly effective for the bumps, bruises, and aches we had endured over the years.
